My Peace
Published:
Done with my daily functions, I wait eagerly to do what I ultimately find solace in.
The time comes. I gather my essentials, a pen and mathematics book, and drive off at night. I listen to the ambient sounds of beautiful music, inching near and near to my destination. I feel greatly at peace, alone, in the presence of life and its offerings.
I eventually get to my destination, and I park in an open area. I rush to get my stuff, just itching to do what I have greatly desired at the end of every week. I wish that I could do it every day.
But, I settle down on the trunk of my truck, with my pen and math book next to me. Then, I just listen to the calmness of nature, enjoying the stars and moonlight in the far distance.
Ultimately, I read. And I deeply read my book. I pause when striking things are revealed to me, and I stand, introspectively looking at the sky.
I wish this was my career. This is my peace and joy. In this domain, I am seen and my obsession becomes apparent.
